    Mounting suggestions

I only unwrapped one to check, but it didn't appear to be coated. I doubt the others will be any different. I need to do a little research and see if I can determine what they're supposed to be based on the shape of each side.

    Mounting suggestions

I didn't even realize I made that typo, but yeah it would have been a nubm03 I think or nubm04. Thanks for pointing that out.

    Mounting suggestions

Looking for some suggestions either for inexpensive off the shelf options, or recommendations if I go the diy route. One of the guys I work with, gave me a small collection of sample lenses that were sent to us by various vendors. He suggested one or more of them may help me get a tighter beam...

Trying to identify these tiny drivers.

Right on, thanks for the details.

Trying to identify these tiny drivers.

Hey all, been a while since I posted. The last few years have been a roller coaster to say the least. My interests have shifted focus (pun intended) from lasers to CNC, Microscopy, drones, fractal artwork, robotics, and parenthood. Yet once again, here I am, grateful for this wonderful esoteric...

65807 Can't help but chuckle at the irony. After years of joking about being "probably on a list for...", here I am putting myself onto one willingly. Cheers!

What kind of new laser toys or projects are you all working on?

This reminds me of something I saw recently posted by an acquaintance (initials CRS) who some work I'm particularly fond of with 405nm and glow in the dark screens. Any connection?

What kind of new laser toys or projects are you all working on?

Most recently, a friend gave me a pretty awesome gift. For a number of years, he ran a sound/lighting business in and around the town where we live. Circumstances necessitated selling off most of the equipment and finding another line of work. Of that equipment, he had a few 3W RGB scanners, one...

Sea Sick Green 1W 525nm Build

Hey thanks , I appreciate it. Ordering components to put together a few more soon, but haven't decided on which diodes I want to use yet

Sea Sick Green 1W 525nm Build

Right on, did you post a build thread? I'd enjoy checking it out. Also I realize I'll probably take some flack for commenting on a thread that's this old, but I wanted to share an update on this build that I thought was pretty cool. So my last post was back after I got married. We were about...

Sea Sick Green 1W 525nm Build

Hey man, sorry I hadn't replied yet. It's been hectic since getting married recently and I'm just now circling back to lpf again now that I have some free time again. To be honest, the perceived difference between 510 and 525 isnt huge in my opinion, but a lot more pronounced than 532 to 525...

I bought a NUGM03 525nm 1w doide from DTR And need to know some things

Good choice on the NUGM03 for a beastly direct green. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with on your first build. For what it's worth, my first direct green build was also with the NUGM03 just a couple months back, which I posted HERE. I wish I still had the finished handheld, but the...

    Sharp GH04W10A2GC 350mW 405nm

I've been extremely satisfied with the beam quality of this sharp diode running on about 1.6A. After a few people asking me to confirm my preference for the 3E lens, I went back and swapped the 3E on mine out for a new G2. Now take this with a grain of salt as it's 100% subjective and not...
