Keeping a small dot over one mile distance

I got this from your link:- This doesn't explain why laser beams appear to end abruptly when they are fired horizontally. It talks about the PBL being the boundary at which the laser ends abruptly but that would only account for when the laser is being fired vertically and not horizontally...

Yes, but I've got to study it first. The moon is an extremely interesting topic to me and I'm gasping to get onto it. When you look at the moon with a clear sky it shines so bright it's very hard to believe that it is just reflecting light from the sun. If you held a grey rock up to a bright...

I went to the same brainwashing type institution as everyone else. The taught me just enough about perspective so not to conflict with globe earth. If they had spent just 1 hour extra teaching us about perspective this would have destroyed their globe Earth model and we can't have that.

Yes, I was avoiding the question but I was also making a point:) . Flat earth theory has no explanation for this and I can't really repeat this experiment myself so I'm forced to take their word for it. This experiment kills two birds with one stone. It proves we landed on the moon.......right...

Keeping a small dot over one mile distance

I've read the first so many pages of that thread and it's just a forum of varying opinions. Some say the Coriolis effect changes with direction and some say it doesn't. There seems to be some sort of clash between those that understand the coriolis effect and those that say it's insignificant...

Have you seen how brightly the moon supposedly reflects the Sun? It shines really brightly considering it's just rock and dust. I'm surprised you need to bounce your laser off any retroreflectors when the moon seems to be reflecting light perfectly well on it's own!

We've talked about this at length already. Snipers not adjusting their rifles every time they change direction = Coriolis effect being SHIT! BOGUS! FAKE! SHAM! We really have to move on from this.

Why do lasers beams end in the sky? They appear like light sabers. I realise now that it is due to perspective and I'm not the only one who thinks that. See this thread http://laserpointerforums.com/f44/why-does-beam-end-sky-75315-2.html This is relevant to my experiment because this I thought...

I haven't done the experiment yet. To be honest I don't know as whether I need to. After realising the Coriolis effect is so bogus (thanks to this thread) I don't know whether this experiment is necessary. I was only doing it to demonstrate to myself which isn't necessary now.

Bloody Hell, I can't keep up. I've looked up the definition of 'troll'. Am I troll? On some sites I definitely am. On others definitely not. On this site I can't decide whether I'm a troll or not because if I am I was definitely pushed into it. I know that whatever I post now is going to...

Yes, I watched it and the one thing that worries me is that he basically labels flat Earthers as extremists. The next step from extremist is terrorist. I know that if the establishment start losing control of this argument they will start locking us up as terrorists.

Yes, it's one of the articles that Laser girl found. Here is a paragraph from it:- Look where it says This text is referring to any distance whether it be 1m or 100000m and any flight time whether it be 1 second or 2 hours. The Coriolis effect doesn't have any limits on distance or time. The...

Because they say they don't. See this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hiRaP8qxqa4 I don't expect you to watch it all, just read the text below the video which says:- See where is says "Deflection is the Same Irrespective of Direction of Fire". So this sniper doesn't adjust for direction...

Keeping a small dot over one mile distance

RedCowboy, I believe you might be at a turning point! You know that snipers don't take the Coriolis effect into account(not properly anyway) so how can it be true?? The Coriolis effect means that a sniper will have to adjust his rifle every time he changes direction but in reality he doesn't...

Keeping a small dot over one mile distance

If you try to fire a laser at a point six miles away, on the same level, the ground should arc up by 6 foot in the middle(ie 3 miles in) so the laser would hit the ground, presuming the ground is level like water and your laser is elevated less less 6 foot above the ground and the earth is...
