I recently got a 405nm laser 301 (I know they aren't very good, but i just wanted something cheap to start on). I have always been interested in lasers, I just never got anything other than a cheap 5mw red pet laser. I eventually plan on building a lower power (less than 500mw) 520nm or a 1.6ish...

I was just wondering, but are these the same goggles as the cheap ebay ones? I have a very similar pair from ebay and I was wondering if they were the same so I could know their true OD.

Focusing to a point is usually fine (however if I move the laser too quickly it falls out of focus), but when I focus to infinity it is fine but if I move the laser quickly, it usually comes out of focus and the dot is much larger. I am relatively certain that my eyes aren't being tricked as if...

I recently got a 405nm laser 301 and I was wondering if I could tighten the focus knob, as when I focus it, it almost immediately comes slightly out of focus unless I keep it very still.
