The difference between Linewidth and Bandwidth in laser

thanks for your reply For my above example, I focus on the laser spectrum's phase only, but not any information carried inside. To make it clear, I would like to elaborate my example as a plot below, let's assume the plot below is the desired spectrum I hope that I can get from the laser I buy...

The difference between Linewidth and Bandwidth in laser

Linewidth and Bandwidth - It's very difficult for me to distinguish between these two parameters in laser, at first I think they must be identical, but, after checking the definition, I find that I am confused. Let's take an example. Now that I need the laser to produce a beam which has a full...

Any low cost suggestion to get a tunable laser?

My boss asks me to get a tubale laser which can involve the wavelength ranging from 760 nm to 800nm, however..............with fairly little money T_T One of the best suggestion is to assembly a laser system by ourselves, so we need a laser diode (with tunable function), a power supply and...

Can we paint an invisible laser beam to make it visible?

thx for you applicable suggestion. and we decide to use a detection card instead, that might be more favorable. Laser Detection Card IR

Can we paint an invisible laser beam to make it visible?

Yes, a crystal might me more expensive than a new laser...

Can we paint an invisible laser beam to make it visible?

Thank you, I have talked to my colleague and we agree that a crystal is too expensive and it is not applicable....and we decide to use a detection card to visualize it: Laser Detection Card IR

Can we paint an invisible laser beam to make it visible?

Thx, I will try to use the camera as well, it's a good suggestion

Can we paint an invisible laser beam to make it visible?

We have a 700nm laser diode for some specific use, however, now we need to use this laser diode for alignment, however, it's invisible....... Some colleague come up with a solution that maybe we can color the laser beam with a special color or pigment to make it visible, ignoring any distorion...
