You are probably referring to EDC, the Electronic Daisy Carnival in LA... The biggest rave. Yes, lasers are not allowed, we were not allowed to vend there.
But with that in mind, most events have a much more relaxed policy, they allow us to vend them, assuming we provide proper laser safety...
To my knowledge, they are FDA compliment, both of my sourcing companies claims that the houses are, but after personal research, I have also concluded that they are. They don't have a time delay, but they have a key lock, LED indicator, and IR Filter... Hopefully that is enough.
Just...
And to everyone else:
I'll take some pictures in a couple hours and upload them, some are built with the similar housings everyone is used to, but I don't think any of the major companies use the same sourcing factories that I do, at least... none that I know of.
As for the site, it launches...
Well, we NEVER sell underspec lasers, there will be +5% variance, so a 100mw laser (could be) 105mw, but it would not be less. I've gotten very good with sourcing, so most of the lasers are close to accurate from the factory.
Hey there,
I own a laser company that sells lasers at festivals, raves, and events. We've been doing very well, and have decided to move launch an online store. I have an LPM so all of the lasers on our website will be EXACTLY on spec, a 100mw will be EXACTLY 100mw, ect... (Guaranteed!)
Our...
I wonder if yellow lasers will get cheap enough to sell at an affordable level. I sure hope so...
Anyway, awesome post, definitely cool to see them side by side! Thanks
There is a DEFINITE variance from person to person, this occurs on the low end of the wavelength spectrum as well. I have a very hard time seeing a 808nm (I can see it, but its EXTREMELY DIM), however, a friend of mine can see an 808nm laser alot easier. He can point out the dot almost...
If I took three diodes, either RGV or RGB, and placed them in a single house, could I not simply shine them through a mirror or lens that would point the beam at a single point?
I would not expect it to have a low divergence, as the colors would surely separate after a long distance, but why...
