Hi
Yes exactly, I want to be able to project a collimated 10mm thick beam through a line generator lens with a fan angle of about 35 degree. So if I shine the laser on a wall 5m away I should see a 10mm thick line, about 3m wide.
Thank you for the link olympus, I might buy that module to start...
Hey,
I am trying to find a configuration for creating a thick (~10mm) laser line, fan angle around 35°.
From what I understand the moulded plastic lenses or rod lenses need a narrow and focused beam to work. A powell lens is too heavy and bulky for me.
Does anyone have any other ideas? I am...
Sorry maybe I was unclear
The original configuration was: Collimating focus lens + line generating lens
and now I switched to: Collimating focus lens + DOE 5 line lens
However, instead of 5 parallel lines I generate maybe 50+ at very large angles
Hey,
I have a PL520 520nm Osram module with a line generating lens
(https://sites.google.com/site/dtrlpf/home/diodes/pl520-520nm-laser-diode)
But instead of just one line I want to generate 5 parallel lines using this DOE:

So I just switched the lenses...
Another newbie question:
Does diffraction lenses require a collimated focus lens or a converging focus lens?
Basically I have a standard 12mm green laser module with a collimating focus lens and a line generator lens. I wanted to try replacing the line generator lense with a diffraction...
