    Unknown Red diode

It won’t be a problem at all given that this diode can be pulled out with ease. Looking at DTR’s shop a module and driver are gonna cost me about $60 bucks...... Has there been a user designed driver that the board files and BOM are available for those that want to order boards and assemble...

    Unknown Red diode

That’s what I was thinking after measuring it. How do I find out voltage and current to drive it at

    Unknown Red diode

The diode will slip right out of the current housing. Other than being out for literally 2 seconds it hasnt been removed. The measurement of the aperture is ~4.75mm. The diode does not have any kind of identifier on it unfortunately, not sure how I can identify it.

    Unknown Red diode

After reading a bit I have learned this is an open can diode. If I have understood correctly I should be able to use and module that accepts a 3.8mm diode. Looking on DTR's shop I was doing to get a 12mm module with a 3 element glass lens. What driver should I get to power this thing?

    Unknown Red diode

So the designs of this diode is strange to me. I would like to use it but since it is not standard design I am lost. Any advice?

    Why is green expensive?

Thanks for the reply. Are green laser diodes more difficult to manufacture? I was looking to spend about $100. I am not against building one myself my 405nm was easy enough. I got a few dvd burners I need to disassemble have been wanting to add a 650nm to my very small and limited collection...

    Why is green expensive?

Hey guys excuse my ignorance here, I am shopping for a new laser. I have a DIY 405nm, and I will probably end up getting a 450nm from the laser pointer store. But while browsing online and seeing the prices for high powered 520nm it just got me thinking why? Why is green so much more expensive...

    Sourcing new host

Yip just placed the order with fasttech. A whopping 7 bucks. Appreciate the help. I tried forever to remember what type of host this was. As soon as I read 501b it came back...... lol. Thanks again man!

    Sourcing new host

Or could I order any 501b flashlight that holds an 18650 and be good to go?

    Sourcing new host

Yes sir something in the switch shorted got super hot before I could get it unscrewed. Once I did the switch fell out of it. Like disentegrated. So googling 501b flashlight host should get me what I need?

    Sourcing new host

Hey guys been a while since I’ve been on. I was given a host by a nice gentleman on these forums. Well it has failed specifically the button. Anyway I am wanting to get something a bit nicer. But am unsure where to look these days to get what I’m After. Please excuse me if my terminology is...

Ok so i just got done looking through the datasheet again. Why does feedback voltage effect current reading. I get that higher voltages equal higher power losses but why is the feedback voltage 8 volts. And you said when using a resistor. What are other ways of sensing current with discrete...

    Mp1584en

Alrighty so take me to school. I want to learn about voltage regulator being current regulators. Like I said these were free and I just took them home cause I am the type of guy that one day I will prolly use it so might as well keep it right? You talk about feedback voltage why does that affect...

Can you use these as current regulator or do they only work as voltage regulators? The reason i ask is because i came across about 100 of them brand new. Thanks guys
