On Sale Now - The Cypreus II - A Copper Laser host by Sinner [25/25 Shipped]

Re: Presale - The Cypreus II - 1x18650/2x18350 - A Copper Laser host by Sinner Definitely interested in a Standard (1x18650) but need some info/advice first. I'd like to make it into a 445 at 2.5-3W+. I know the one battery wouldn't last long but that's okay, I have spares. The all copper...

    Cheap DIY laser accessories...

Thanks for the replies... didn't think anyone was too impressed with my... uh... thriftiness (I prefer the term 'resourceful'). Yeah, my idea is pretty much only useful for keeping out dust. On the more powerful lasers, dust covers will just get blown through; one can only hope that whatever...

    Cheap DIY laser accessories...

... just the way I like my women: quick, easy and cheap. I'm probably not the first to think of this stuff, just thought I'd try to add something useful back to the forum. - spring resistance clamps; about 4.5 in. tall; everything except the spring is plastic so it won't mar most anything; set...

    T1 lens question

I was able to find some of the other forum members doing some comparisons of the T1 vs other lenses here: http://laserpointerforums.com/f39/rick-trent-laser-kits-3w-445nm-79878-3.html They also get into some of the technical specs involved and how these affect performance. This is a bit more...

    T1 lens question

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I'm thinking that my G9 is better than the Aixiz but how would it stack up against the T1? Such a comparison may not be meaningful or even make sense... just trying to get an understanding of all the variables and options. I did actually try to put 'G9 lens' and...

    T1 lens question

There is a video showing the improved output obtained using a T1 lens from Rick Trent here: T1 lens Vs. Axis Lens on 1.5 watt laser - YouTube I'm interested in increasing the output of my 445 which is using a G9 but I'm not sure how to find more information about the whole topic. Searching on...

    Multi mode switch options

Thanks for the info. I would take your reply to mean that it's the driver that "knows" how to manage the modes and not the switch. That definitely complicates things and I'm not quite ready to go back to college just to figure it out :-)

    Multi mode switch options

I recently acquired a nice 445 with a clicky multi mode switch on the end cap that let's you cycle thru the 4 possible modes: 5%, 50%, 100%, strobe. Has anyone ever used a radial knob switch instead? I've searched extensively but can't seem to find the answer. I read that sometimes the multi...

Re: The Scorcher & The Scorcher Jr. 445nm 3.4w+ w/strobe Just received mine today... a very nice unit and quite a steal at the price. The brightness and color strength of this thing has to be seen in person to appreciate... absolutely dazzling. This is my first blue. Seller was quick to...

    Purpose of lasers

That same question could be asked about much of what we do in the modern world. For me, it's entertainment, satisfying curiosity, and learning. Additionally, I may be able to instill in my kids a sense of exploring what they find interesting.

Pay thru PayPal w/out having an account

Not sure where to put this info so I'll put it here and it can be moved if needed. Perhaps the B/S/T section? I just purchased a laser from one of the members here and had to use PayPal. I don't have an account with them and didn't want to create one. Using the method below you can pay with...

    Laserpocalypse...What will your "kit" be?

Very cool site... just joined and it's my first post of many, I hope. Great topic, would love to hear more about how all of you came to decide your choices. Is it the color or the maybe the host? Is there a practical side, like a green laser will do something better than a blue one? The...

Hello Mrcrouse, I love your custom work and am interested in getting a complete working unit but am not sure how to go about it. A few points that may be of help: - ship to Houston, TX - 445nm (blue) 9mm diode - 2000 mW or greater - variable power and possibly some strobing options...
