I believe the closer that the wavelength is to 532, the more visible it will be to the human eye. Is 532nm truly the most visible wavelength to the human eye though?

The prices for green lasers have dropped significantly over the years it seems. How long do you guys think it will take for blue laser pointers to take a significant drop, because I really want one badly ;) Do any of you all have a blue laser pointer? If so I'd love to see some pictures!

Why does it matter so much if a laser has an IR filter? Would a 5mW without an IR filter be considered unsafe? Thanks for any help.

What mW power would you guys recommend for a green laser where the beam is visible indoors in average lighting conditions? Does divergence matter for beam visibility or should I just go by mW power? Thanks. --Jet
