Would looking at the dot of the thor's on a non reflecting surface cause eye damage without protective googles? If yes, what would be a safe distance to look at the dot without damaging eyesight? How about looking at the beam? Also, sorry if its a stupid question, but do googles make the laser...

Just wanted to point out that I received my Panasonics some time ago, fully charged them and my laser is still very weak and dim, so I guess its the diode. Anyways, take in cosideration the lifespan of a laser before buying. I had no idea but hopefuly new customers will look at this thread.

I will buy another one for sure if this one is dead, the damn laser bug bit me hard! O-Like was an option before but at the end i switched to lazerer, I'll take a look again :).

Another thing to point out is that I haven't tested the laser with another battery, just the chinese one Max gave me, so there's the possibility that the battery is faulty, who knows. I'm buying some panasonics to double check this thing, I'll let you know if it was just the battery or the...

Yup, well... with shipping, the battery and the certificate it was 70. I got it right here actually, yesterday it had a point that looked <5mW. Today it doesn't even turns on. :(

Just a word of caution, my 100mW stick died after 5 months of regular use. I never dropepd it/used another battery/went above the duty cycle, so you may want to be careful on that. They say Lazerer's a good company, but their warranty is just a month. :)
