Hi Jerry,
I have a couple of questions about the LaserBee II.
1. I see there is a couple of unfitted components on the LaserBee II. What are those components used for?
2. How linear is the LaserBee II over its power range?
3. How linear is the LaserBee over its frequency range?
4. What is the...
Got my LaserBee II today. Thanks a lot (OK, I did buy it on the website, as I didn't have a paypal account, but now I have one).
My main lasers varies from 5mW to 700mW, so now I can try to push my 405nm up, and see what else I can burn with it, but first I must get a decent heatsink on it :)...
Sorry, yes, I did mean 12x. Don't know why I wrote 16x, lol. Last night I pushed it to 750mA through the diode, and it worked brilliantly. Not sure if I will push the poor diode past that current. So, now I've made my driver switchable, between 350 and 750mA.
Ok, just made my first burn through 5mm ABS with my new laser.
I bought an 16x Lite-on BD drive more than a year ago with the idea of building a high-power 405nm laser, but never managed to get around to it. Finally harvested the laser-diode yesterday, and today I disassembled the optics of one...
Hi all, this is my first post, so try to take it easy on me.:yabbem:
I recently acquired 2 sleds from BD drives, one from a 4x drive, and one from an 12x drive. Unfortunately I don't know which sled was the 4x one, and which one the 12x one. I have harvested the laser diodes, in the hope that...
