Help me with my laser please

lol, yeah a $500 diode not 500nm I would of thought.

492's are the same 488 diode just driven a little harder therefore raising the central wavelength.

You will be pleasantly surprised how much colour difference even 1-2nm can make in that part of the spectrum. We are very sensitive in that area. Getting both is one way of finding out lol

The 492-495's are also great if you get hold of a higher hitting 488 too.

    hello again

I can assure you that your effort doesn't go unnoticed. Each photo is high quality and perfectly shot. Takes real skill and experience. Not many could achieve that level of quality. Look forward to seeing more.

    First "builds"

It is the gauge of the wire. The thicker the wire the more current it can handle. For your purposes thin wire has been fine so far.

    First "builds"

Doesn't matter really. DTR used 26 AWG. Such a minor thing to consider. As long as the wire grade is designed to take the current load you are fine. 26 AWG is more than enough usually.

    hello again

So glad to see you Bruce. :) This is the sort of content I miss on LPF. Great work as always. Everyone can do with a bit of colour in their lives right now.

Which Laser Pointer Do I Need for my Patented Idea?

This product could of been done easily and safely with a 5mW diode module/dpss module and a galvo which is the funniest part. Not a 16W $28k laser spotlight. I actually agree with the colour choice. My reasons why are a bit more technical. Chlorophyll in grass is reflective to 532nm. The...
