    My 12x Mini...

Thanks Ped. Yeah the aurora hosts are like a heatsink in themselves. I was very surprised to see this thing run for 4 minutes with no real heat issues. I can't wait to have my other host built. I'm hoping to get a continuous duty cycle from it.

    My 12x Mini...

Thanks Tonga. Yeah the sleeve is the lower part of an aixiz module pressed over the g-2 module. I really have to say if it weren't for Flaminpyro sending that sleeve with his press I wouldn't have gotten this thing up and running with the g-2. I am still getting into building lasers. So I don't...

    My 12x Mini...

Hey all, I'm Casey. This is my very first laser build. It consists of a Jayrob SS-CR2 kit with a copper heatsink (I love this little thing). The diode is from a SF-BW512P sled being ran by a microboost set to about 375mA. The lens is the 405-G-2 from Will at Lasers4U (he has excellent service)...

    Great buying experiences with Flaminpyro

Came across this thread after dealing with Flaminpyro. I have to admit I am very impressed with his shipping times, and the speed of order processing. Paid him wednesday got my driver today. He also sells the best supplies and tools here on LPF. I don't know what I'd do, without the press he...

    FS: Laser Parts

Very nice Pyro. I love the flux and the wire they are absolutely the best I've ever used for any of my small projects. Thank you also for sparing your press. Made this hobby a hell of a lot easier. You get 2 thumbs up. Thanks again, Casey

FS: Stainless Steel CR2 Kit - Polished! - SCHWEET!

Thanks Jay can't wait for it to arrive. I'll give you an update when I finish the build. EDIT 01/03/2011: Got the host in today. I gotta say the host is very nice and sleek. The heatsink is a little loose, but I'm gonna try to utilize the space with some thermal tape to get the best transfer of...

Got some ?s about the Groove2 drive.

Yeah I thought about the diode sockets for easy swap out. My question is how will the blu-ray diode get wired to the driver if there is no case negative? Just a typical connection like +in to driver/-in to driver and +out to diode/-out to diode, and do not use the case pin?

Got some ?s about the Groove2 drive.

I ordered a groove2 drive and have learned that it is the least efficient of all the dr. lava drives. So I have decided to turn it into my diode tester supply to make sure my diodes are working properly when I recieve them in the mail. What would be the easiest ways to set it up so it can test...

    Howdy Howdy

Well hello people. My name is Casey G. I am fresh to these forums so please go easy on me if I don't quite understand all of the acronyms used on the site. I understand the forum rules. So no need to explain them or anything. I may sound like a noob when it comes to lasers so please bare with...
