I'd tell him to make sure he doesn't put it in the flight path of any aircraft. He probably knows already, but pointing a laser at aircraft can get you in a lot of trouble.

I don't have a dog to match, but I think it would be pretty neat to have eyes of different color. As far as I'm concerned, it's no different from a tattoo. Permanent, regrettable, and too expensive for me :D

Boars seem like they'd be pretty hard to defend against, even when blinded. I'd imagine a .454 casull would be able to defend against both bears and boars, but that would be quite expensive, and I don't know Austrian gun laws. Another good option may be bear spray. It's essentially pepper spray...
