I think the output of this pen is around 50mW or so. I set the current at 100mA so there's not much heat at all when it is on. I'm not too worried about the power, just love this wavelength.

I think it's all about what you compare it with. If I look at my 490nm after looking at 532nm or 520nm it looks blue, but if I compare it with 450nm it looks green.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have considered the Micro FlexDrive link here however, on the manual it says the max voltage is 5.5V which is too low for this diode. Can it boost higher than advertised? As for linear drivers if I use Li - Ions fully charged they're around 4V and 2 of them is 8V...

Hello All, I'm currently in search of a driver for the new 495nm Sharp diode. I've seen some people use the nano driver from DTR set to 275mA. link here However, to my knowledge it is out of stock right now. Also, I would like to run this diode at a current between 150-200mA to reduce heat...

When does it start to become green instead of blue? are 495nm diodes more greenish or blueish?
