Yeah! we have to learn from our mistakes, and yet there's hope for all laser builder's to make a working laser, in my experience, the first i build laser project i killed one my 20x LOC from LG DVD burner by accidentally bump my table and the 20xLOC project was totally drop in a pack of impact...

great ,so it means my heatsink was enough, and the thing i need to worry is the contact between LD and the actual heatsink including the metal surrounds and the body, right? so the heatsink must be tight enough with the LD so it will last. please check my host if i need to add another aluminum...
