I have been reading through these forums for a while now (a year maybe.. off and on), and thought it was time to interact a bit. ARGLaser's 4.4w is really what tipped the scales for me, you just can't help but get excited when you see something that beautiful :worthy:

I have two 1w lasers, (well probably less than 1w I never actually tested the claim :yabbem:) one 532nm and a 445nm. My boys and I have had a lot of fun experimenting with them. It is amazing the things you can do :D

I'm hesitant to admit where I bought the lasers from (hint: 39 reasons not to buy from) but I did it with my eyes wide open thanks to you guys and have been real happy with the product. I don't have a lot to compare against, but the build quality is phenomenal.

I enjoy tinkering with devices, I really enjoy retro gaming console and tinkering with their insides, but don't know if I will take that step into building my own laser. I guess it is inevitable that I will try it eventually, but for know I am really just a user.

I look forward to interacting with you guys more on the forum and maybe eventually getting a REAL laser:yh:

Welcome to the forum!!! If you really want to get your laser's power measured, I am sure a member here would be able to do it, provided you paid for shipping and whatnot.

Enjoy your stay and stay safe!

I enjoyed the detailed documentation as much as the laser itself. I learned a lot from you reading over your posts. Thanks for sharing that awesome build; I look forward to seeing what you are going to build next :poke:

Well I am a bit of an ubergeek, always boring my wife with whatever I am excited about at the moment. Retro-gaming, calculator watches (Pulsar LED Calculator watch by Time Computer Inc  ) modding electronics, various minor physics/science experiments, Minecraft and of course lasers; these are just a few of the endless things I bore her with :) So not long after we were married (13 yrs ago) I was trying to come up with an online identity, and she suggested Mr.Bland.

I though it rather fitting lol so I have stuck with it anytime I need an online ID.
