Where to get Laser Pointer Hosts?

Building my first high powered laser(1w) and I would like to know if there is like an online distributor or something of such or do I just buy a flashlight to use as a host? And what about the heatsink, since much heat would be generated, how would I find a heatsink to fit in a host?

Those who have a basic understanding of what is needed in a laser host (accessible pill, large enough for heatsink, etc) sometimes browse DX for hosts to get custom heatsinks for, and later, lasers.

Or you can go to jayrob and get one of his kits.

Please get glasses, a 1W laser is nothing to mess around with. It's not a game...
