Hi guys!

So a similar style from one of my previous corrected builds i did a while back,
thread here!

https://laserpointerforums.com/f40/custom-corrected-nubm08-blackbuck-adjustable-6w-99500.html

I decided to modify this host for a cylindrical corrected build but I won’t be completing it this time, I thought I would give someone else the opportunity to decide on diode type, I saw the thread on the corrected hosts and all the issues there with aligning the modules, I believe a press fit module and press fit cylinder will work exceptionally, I mostly never use setscrews just machine everything to fit tight, Also the size of the hosts everyone is using although very nice hosts they are just huge this host is much smaller size and takes 2/18350,s Steanless Latching on rear stainless momentary on side and designed to fit 20mm copper module with solid back half and driver seat.

If you think 2/18350,s Isn’t enough juice for a 7w diode you can go with a 4w NDB7A75 and have the best divergence around, Or you can just buy a spare set of batts, Great host for anydiode even the Mitts,

These do take time to make, Host as you see in the pics! $80us

That would be a cool build with a ndg7475 and a c-lens pair or a prism pair to correct the far field bar you see in the daytime.

Possibly opening up the diode seat in the module would suffice to keep the run out down if adding a BE on the end, but just the c-lens correction or a prism pair will be good as it is.

This would likely do well with a NDB7A75 at 3.5a and a 4X c-lens pair, and great for a NDG7475 with correction or a NDB7875 or 7675 with a c-lens pair, but too be totally honest I would prefer 2 x 18650 for anything bigger than a NDB7875. I have thought about 2 x 18500 that would only add 3 cm length ( 15mm each cell ) and some needed capacity, although I have not tested 18500 cells yet I expect they would bridge the gap between 18350-18650 if using quality cells.

Also I recently received some small AR coated windows, adding an AR coated window in the end could be nice too.

Good looking unit, looking forward to seeing more.
