Collapsible Baton/Pirate Scope Host

Ok so like I am not a machining expert and am reading everything I can find on building lasers. I notice that the optics usually are g2 and then you have to add a beam expander. I was just wondering as my little mind putters around, if it would be possible to build a host in the style of a collapsible baton or the old school pirate scope. When extended all the optics would give you some wicked high powered beam and it would jut look super cool. I don't know if this has been done before, but If so I know you guys will give me links. If it cant be done sensibly , then a fake collapsible host would still be very cool.Check out the attached pics to see what I mean. I think a brass and polished chrome pirate scope host would be the bomb. Just a few ideas to keep you host makers on your toes!
