Can anybody machine this?

Hey guys,

I have been working on a triple diode host design for a while now. I was wondering if anyone would be able to build it. If you can, I can send you the cad so that you can see all the measurements etc. It was created in google sketchup.

Front veiw of the heatsink(main thing in pic)


The cylinder on the side is a 32650 battery. As you can see the main heatsink is screwed onto the battery tube where the diode modules and the optics board are.



It fits 3 12mm modules and the optics board is 5cm out


I have been working on this a while and if all goes well I might be able to work out if a batch of these hosts can be made to sell.

EDIT: This host would be preferably made out of aluminum. I am also going to use an led button switch for the power just because it looks cool

I can't machine it since I don't have a mill, but you're probably looking at ~$300 for that.

Thanks for the pricing estimate. Do you know anyone who can machine it and is in the US?

yeah saw that too but I based my design a bit off of the wicked lasers arctic and for something that I am going to do a bit later...

I would try Mrcrouse in the USA to make it since he's done similar work.

Thanks guys! I will try to get in contact with those guys. Jay was a great guy and I ordered stuff from him in previous builds but I am not to sure if he does machining that has been sent to him. Correct me if I am wrong. Not to sure about Pyro as I haven't talked to him yet but I did pm Mrcrouse this thread and the .CAD

It was finished last year. The build was also finished however one of the driver's ICs popped off and I procrastinated on buying a new driver and got sidetracked by other projects. I will see if I can get it up and running next weekend when I have time.

Ehgemus, if you want to build another one for me in a month or so, we need to talk. I should be better healed money wise by then to have one built.
