LPM in Central Utah?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but it appears no one from Utah has reported in with an LPM in the recently started thread.

I'm new on this forum, but discovered it when recently researching where to buy a replacement for an aged WL. I've just replaced it with a 100 mW green from lazerer and also decided while I was shopping to pick up an additional 200 mW green and 500 mW blue (448). I was hoping to be able to verify the powers of each while waffling on the decision to buy my own LPM. And I was really hoping to not have to ship them to do so.

Is there by any chance someone in the neighborhood of Lehi/AF or even further out that would be willing to meet a complete stranger to test a few lasers for them? The last two haven't yet shown up, so this wouldn't be for at least a week or so.

Thanks!

EDIT: Just a note, my reason for wanting someone local is I don't know how well I trust my packing skills and would prefer to ship this as few times as necessary.

Welcome to the forum. Getting that feedback by measuring your lasers is pretty slick. Im too far to help you, but maybe somebody will chime in, soon.

After paying for shipping a few times and wanting
to know the power of the new Laser you just bought
nothing beats having your own LPM to test your Lasers
periodically to see if they are degrading..

You no longer need to spend thousands of $$$ to get
an accurate LPM.

Hobby LPMs have proven themselves to be quite accurate
and the cost has come down to the price of a medium to
high powered Laser.

There is no reason to not own one...

Oh, I actually intend to get one. I wasn't quite sure how to phrase my first post, but my hope is to test these right now since there's a 7-day exchange policy and I'm still debating which LPM to get. I'm also toying with the idea of building one using one of the methods on these forums.

For now I'll probably end up utilizing the LPM of one of the gracious members in that other thread and pick up an LPM soon to watch for degradation over time as you've suggested Jerry.
