BTG...you'll be perfectly happy with the shipping. My last one came quite securely.

Let me know when you want added to the LPF LPM list..

Maybe I'll go ahead and build another DIY DMM setup and package it with the Ophir.

yeah safe transit isnt a problem  mine came in a flat rate envelope, with a flat rate box on the inside, with enough bubble wrap to jump off a building surrounding the ophir......BTW it is really smaller than youd think 1" x 1" x 1" roughly

THIS!

Yes, they are much smaller than I imagined...IDK why.

They're so cute and precious. I might just mount mine on a gold nugget ring and wear it around.

@ sba, I will let you know about the LPM list.
First, I need to get it wired to my dmm, probably in a similar fashion to yours.
BTW - Nice job on your enclosure!

Yes, 1"x1"x1" is smaller than I would have assumed, but when you look at the wire and plug for comparison, thats about right for size.

@djQUAN - You are correct about the size, I just repeated what I saw on another post without checking, oops.

That is a great looking, "all in one" LPM!

A +1 for an excellent job!

Thanks for sharing.

Nice job on building your LPM.

I would make a few suggestions for more accurate readings....

1) the OPHIR Head should be completely out of the enclosure
to have all sides at ambient temperature equilibrium.

2) Pictures #8, #12,#16 and #17 show the Laser's beam profile
OFF the Sensor's active area center. You will get erroneous power
readings if not centered. The OPHIR heads are calibrated by OPHIR
at the exact center of the sensor.

3) In picture #9 you are WAY too close to the Sensor to get an
accurate reading. At that distance and Laser Power you are no
doubt adding radiated heat from the Laser LD and Laser head
to the actual Laser Power reading.

4) the cover was nicely designed but goes back to suggestion 1).
