X-boost not changing output much with turning pot

Thank you so much everyone... learned a lot here. I tried again with a new driver and taking all your suggestions into account it worked. The adj pot worked fine. The max I got was 1.4A, but I'm thinking that has more to do with the batteries (thanks Jayrob) I used the good ones but I don't want to fully charge them with what I have now, in a few days I'll get my new one and try it with full power. Hopefully it will go from 1.41 A out to 1.8 changing from 3.8 V to a fully charged 4.2V one. In any case, it rocks!
