Although wouldnt the unprotecd batteries plus the spacers be approximately the same length as the button top cells?

How hard would be to move the pill? Is there also much tolerance/room for the pill to be moved much? :thanks:

Not hard at all actually, Put the batteries in and screw the tailcap all the way in, now screw the pill and head assembly. This way the batteries will have just enough space and the head will also screw right in... Later you can remove the batteries and charge them and re-install them without any problems.. Basically the pill unscrewed a little bit will make up for the space required by the larger batteries.

Thanks sinner,

sorry for the endless amount of questions but which one would you recommend?

the TF 26650's

https://www.fasttech.com/products/1076400

or the unprotected KK 26650's

1 piece of King Kong ICR 26650 3.7V 4200mah Li-on Unprotected Battery_Battery_Battery&Charger_Electronics Wholesale online

or the protected KK 26650's?

1 piece of King Kong ICR 26650 3.7V 4000mah Li-on Protection Battery_Battery_Battery&Charger_Electronics Wholesale online

if i where to get the unprotected KK's without button tops how would i go about getting the connections touching between the two batteries?

:thanks:

Will your missing the point of all the laser stuff i buy lithium batteries take ages to arrive they first have to clear Australian customs, they will be detected and then sent surface mail another week to ten days so count on 6 weeks from ordering whatever batteries you buy in lithium ion types I'm still waiting from 19 th of July for 26650 and 10440 for AAA replacements ...in other words order fast you will b, waiting a long time before you get them to use

I used the trustfire's in my mssw build. Great batteries but too long! My solution was putting the driver on top of the pill and making the pill itself shorter! (Not that it would fit inside the pill anyway :p)

Greetings,

that SXB boost in your MS-SSW is huge :p i love the single cell design as well. thanks for the help :)

does anyone know what the difference between INR and ICR batteries? because there are two versions of the KK batteries, one with INR and another with ICR. i know this just refers to the chemistry of the battery but is there any real advantage between the two types?

:thanks:

Either of them would work great, ICR has the higher mAh capacity than the Li-Mn (IMR).. I m not sure whats a INR though.. Time to revisit batteryuniversity..

IMR: carbon negative electrode, organic electrolyte, lithium manganese oxide positive electrode

INR: carbon negative electrode, organic electrolyte, lithium nickel oxide positive electrode

Regardless, These should be actual 4000mAh batteries , IMR's have a higher discharge rate too.. I am sure this has different safety features that's about it..

thanks sinner, thanks for all your help :)

as for the INR this website that has a database of different battery sizes with different makes and different chemistry

AkkuDB

according to the database the king kong INR 26650 batteries have an IMR chemistry

i think i'll go with the protected KK batteries, thanks for everyones help :)

cheers, will
