Where can I buy a boost or boost-buck with Vin=3.4-8V and Vout=5.8-8V?

I am trying to drive both the Osram 80mW blue laser and the Osram 50mW green laser at about 160mA. I want to be able to drive them with one Li-ion battery so the driver needs to work down to ~3.5V. The green laser can require as much as 8V for the output voltage.

At the very least, I need a boost driver that will run with Vin=3.5V-4V and Vout=5.8V to 8V. That covers the single cell input and the full range of operating voltages for both lasers.

Ideally, I would like a boost-buck that could handle one or two cells (Vin=3.5-8V) and could drive either the green or blue laser (Vout=5.8V-8V). In fact, it would be even better if it could also drive the Oclaro 120mW red laser which can run down to 2.7V.

The only thing I could find was this: 3 7V Lithium ion Battery Stepup Constant Current Driver LED Driver 18650 Boost | eBay

It is a boost driver that can run both the blue and green lasers (I hope) and looks like it can be driven with one or two cells. I can always cover the red laser with a buck driver. Are there any other boost drivers with specs that can do what I need it to do? Are there any boost buck drivers that can drive at least the green and blue lasers with one or two cells and possibly the red laser as well? Ideally, I want to just buy these assembled. If necessary, I can take an open source device and have the boards made and populated.

This microboost is what I used in my builds with the Osram diodes. Unfortunately they are currently out of stock.

For the oclaro red you could use a flexdrive from illumination supply.

Edit: You could also try searching lpf for benboost. It's an open source boost drive, and you may even find them in the buy, sell trade section.
Other than that, Flamingpyro has an x-drive sales thread. The x-drive is likely the best buck drive out there.

I really need some help on this. I am willing to buy at least 50 of them to make it worth someone's time.

So you mean like...all of lazeerers boost drives, not to mention the massive thread on RHD's open source boost drive? Or the massive thread on the open source BenBoost drive?

Not to mention? TO BUY. Open source has none to purchase, right?

I did find this thread, but I don't know what to expect from him, if high volume sellers are out of his boosters and waiting, what chance do I have?

Angelos prefers not to deal directly
anymore. Him and FlaminPyro are always
busy and when the drivers do come in, they
sell out quickly. I think you would be
best off buying diodes in modules with
attached driver directly from DTR at this
point. If even the micro boosts are
running short, that is probably your best
option for getting something in a
reasonable amount of time.

X-boost drivers are out of stock at DTR, have been for awhile now.

I really need some help on this. I am willing to buy at least 50 of them to make it worth someone's time.

In my experience, a lot of people say this, and then what they really want are "two or three to test out first", or "a couple free samples", or they don't really know what they want and change their requirements every time they PM you, or they want to pay after delivery, or they genuinely want 50 but they want to pay $8 bucks each instead of $20, etc etc etc.

A lot of people pop up on LPF with no history to their name, and grand claims about what they are looking to buy. Fewer actually follow through or back it up with action.

If you actually want 50x boost drivers that can run an Osram 80mW blue laser and the Osram 50mW green laser at about 160mA from a single lithium ion, and you don't have a whole bunch of other attached conditions or nonsense or expect to get them cheap, then myself, and many other members here, could put that together for you in a heart beat.

Not to mention? TO BUY. I appreciate sincere helpful feed back, as always, but Lazereer has a bad rep for being uber slow to deliver and when I say uber, I mean uber. Also, open source has none to purchase, right?

Since when does Lazeerer have a bad rep on LPF? Just a thought - maybe he doesn't prioritize responding to members who actually have a bad rep on LPF themselves?

There appears to be some confusion between laserer and lasereer, I edited that out but you posted it afterwards anyway. Ya, RHD, you are correct, some folk get miffed over things, you included. I too, so we are all in this boat together, less you want to have me stop and leave this group, I will right now. Just say so and I'm gone for good. CrazyS, I know you will be tempted to chime in and say so, but I won't for you, I have less respect for you but this man I do have a fair amount for, even if he thinks I was mocking him in a thread I created in the Other section, no offense was meant.

Yea, I saw that, I just wanted the boost drive alone, I killed mine but the diode is still good.

Just gotta chill a bit and read the room ;)

Good to hear it was just confusion on your end. Lazeerer has done lots of good things for this forum.

It looks like Jeff has some X-Boost, S-Mini
and T-Mini. He is good, I have bought from
him. He is super busy, so it can take some
time for him to ship, up to 2 weeks, but is
very honest.

Who is Jeff? I'd like to look into ordering a boost drive somewhere.

Danka!
