I am trying to drive both the Osram 80mW blue laser and the Osram 50mW green laser at about 160mA. I want to be able to drive them with one Li-ion battery so the driver needs to work down to ~3.5V. The green laser can require as much as 8V for the output voltage.
At the very least, I need a boost driver that will run with Vin=3.5V-4V and Vout=5.8V to 8V. That covers the single cell input and the full range of operating voltages for both lasers.
Ideally, I would like a boost-buck that could handle one or two cells (Vin=3.5-8V) and could drive either the green or blue laser (Vout=5.8V-8V). In fact, it would be even better if it could also drive the Oclaro 120mW red laser which can run down to 2.7V.
The only thing I could find was this: 3 7V Lithium ion Battery Stepup Constant Current Driver LED Driver 18650 Boost | eBay
It is a boost driver that can run both the blue and green lasers (I hope) and looks like it can be driven with one or two cells. I can always cover the red laser with a buck driver. Are there any other boost drivers with specs that can do what I need it to do? Are there any boost buck drivers that can drive at least the green and blue lasers with one or two cells and possibly the red laser as well? Ideally, I want to just buy these assembled. If necessary, I can take an open source device and have the boards made and populated.
