Hi,
In mistake I bought a the wrong laser driver so I need only 4.5v instead of 6v.
In the host I use I have place for 2 cr2 batteries. What batteries can I use to supply 4.5v?
Thanks,
Yuval

Yuva;

The CR2 battery cell size is 15270 .

That means 15mm by 27mm long.

The closest cell for two of them would be a #14500 lithium ion cell.

It would be 14mm by 50mm long.

Look for a Sanyo cell for best performance.

LarryDFW comes in with the Battery knowledge! +1

OP, if your build is such that the battery would slide a bit(ex-if you had it pretty much exactly fit for two CR2's, then maybe put a nice sized solder blob or really small spring or even a magnet on the battery). I believe all of those are safe solutions.

Wikipedia : List of Battery Sizes; See: Lithium Rechargeable.

I looked at this list already but I don't find something so I ask here (I don't mean that you have to search - I believe there is people who have knowledge about batteries)

Is there any combination of 1.5v battery and 3.0v battery which can fit to the laser's host?

Or instead - can I add something to the driver so it take 1.5v more?
If I connect 2 diodes like those that are used in lm317 driver will it work good? (When I tested the driver on 4.5v the current was 190mA and the voltage was 2.7v. The diode needs 2.7v-3.2v and maximum 200mA)
