In trouble with power supply

I have a 1000mw 445nm laser module from HighTechDealz and i'll buy a flexdrive. Then, how can i supply power to it??

Can i use a trustfire 3,7V/2.4A battery?

I know that V=R.I and that the current depends on the resistance and voltage only, so this battery wont ruin my diode.

Is it right?? Really need some help here.

All depends on what host you are putting this into. You match the batteries to what will fit. What host are you putting this in ?

Well, for now im not using a host, after i see that it works i'll make a different project to fit a host, will this batteries work for the diode without a host??

if you use a flexdrive v5 you can power your laser with a lithium battery. the flexdrive will change the current. Are you using a 18650 battery? I guess. Anyway, of course you can. Don't worry for your diode. I have a 445nm laser with a flexdrive v5 powered by one 18650 3.7 volt 2000ma battery and it works properly. Just don't forget the heatsink for the diode....

The flexdrive will take an input voltage of 2.0V -- 5.5V. If you want to use a power supply that is greater than 5.5V then you can use a diode in series to drop the voltage by 0.7V.
