Reliable/proper batteries, to Canada? Sources?

It's hard to find a good looking source for proper batteries, I've just been getting by with 18650 extracted from old laptop batteries.

I'm also looking for 14500 LiPos, and possibly 14250s (yes they exist, very hard to come by quality ones though).

I was looking through IMRbatteries.com, but shipping to Canada is ~30.00$ for economy. I'll pass.

If anyone knows any good sources/sites for AW, IMR, or protected ICRs, please let me know. I hope I'm not cornered into paying 30$ to ship batteries, I am however willing to pay that price for good quality batteries.

Thanks

I would try ebay. I buy most of my cells there. The key is buying the brands that are not commonly faked such as Nitecore, AW and I believe Efest are not common duped batteries. Sanyo's are often faked. Larry DWR sells real Sanyo's here but you will pay a premium for the peace of mind which to some is worth the higher price tag than you can find on Ebay.

Also, if you have a good battery charging and testing station like the Opus you could test the battery you purchased to make sure their ratings are true.
Good luck

ElectricPlasma, you can try Mountain Electronics, they show both 14500 and 14250 batteries in their US site.
They also have an international site, but you have register to check out the battery availability.

Good Luck with your search. :)

survival sell 14500.

Survival won't sell em unless you buy a host, and they're shipping is almost just as expensive.

I'll most likely go for this site, haven't seen the shipping charges yet but it looks good especially for the specific 14500s & 14250s :) Thanks BowtieGuy!

You're welcome, E.P., be sure and let us know if their international site is a worthwhile option for our non U.S. members.

Looks like a well put together site, but there are only two batteries that will be shipped internationally which I believe are 18650s. I'll do some more browsing and see what I can find!
