I have an Ehgemus host and I want to put a 40mW 635nm Sanyo diode in it. This diode is case positive and that makes the complete Ehgemus host positive. I need 100mA and the Vf diode is 2.1Volt. This host only takes one 3.7V 14650 cell. So 7.4V is out of the question.

I need to figured out which driver would work under this condition. I was thinking to use the linear ST-drive from kiyoukan. This driver has an extremley low voltage overhead, http://laserpointerforums.com/f39/new-linear-driver-st-drive-67549.html

The configuration would be like this, http://laserpointerforums.com/f67/h...-regulating-version-ddl-64955.html#post966212

Can it be done with the ST-drive ?

Just get a Green laser driver.

I used those on my 40mW Sanyo and the 20's.

In Fact Just about everyone used a cheap Green driver type for there 635nm case positive diodes.

Here is the Exact link to the driver that most of us used for our 40mW 635nm diodes or any case "+" 635nm builds:
LM358 Constant Current Driver, 3.5 -5.0V - V2 2011 - Detailed item view - OdicForce Lasers Online Shop

Thanks for the link. The green/IR driver works the best.
I bought the V3 version, LM358 Constant Current Driver, 3.5 -5.0V - V3 2012 - Detailed item view - OdicForce Lasers Online Shop
The driver looks smaller in size. The space in the host isn't really much.
