I apologize if these questions have been asked previously.

I just got the Microboost Drive. I love the size and battery consumption aspects.

I have set it in the 140-280ma range.

Unfortunately my multimeter's current reading is malfunctioning and no matter which range or test probe port I use on my test-load, I do not attain a reading.

I am wondering two things however...

1.) Which direction of turning the driver's potentiometer reduces the current?

2.) Will it drive a PHR-805T safely at 140ma?

Thank you!

clockwise raises the current, counter-clockwise reduces the current.

140mA is a pretty high range for the phr diode. normal range is 100-120.

however, you "should" be able to drive it at 140mA, and with proper heatsinking and low duty cycles it should last you a long while.

Thank you very much, that helps a lot.

As for the diode... This is a PHR-805T which as I have read, can be safely driven at 130-140ma to ensure a long life. I just wanted to make sure the Microboost worked at that amperage. Thank you!
