How to charge battery

Okay, so I'm charging my 2 ultra fire batteries. I've got a good charger I using and I've found them to be about 300mah. The charger that came with them didn't work. Didn't put out any current. It did discharge them however, by powering the LED.

So I used the battery bay from the charger that came with the laser and soldered two wires to some wires that plug into the charger. I need to know how to charge in parallel. Check the configuration image.

I assume to charge at the voltage of 1 cell, and that it will just take twice as long. I may charge at 2C meaning 600mah input. That will allow a charge in 1 hour. Is this correct or am I wiring something wrong. I know it's better to use separate channels but until I get a good nite core charger, I'll just use this.

The C rating is per battery, so if you're feeding 600mAh into both then you're charging at 1C. Don't try and charge a lithium battery at anything over 1C unless it's specifically rated for it.

What you've done will work, BUT, both of the batteries need to be at the exact same voltage (or within a few millivolts, anyway) when you plug them in to charge. If not, the higher voltage one will simply discharge into the other and probably destroy something. They should both also be in the same condition, otherwise one may draw much more current than the other.

Oh yeah I see. I'm familiar with charging 3 cell lipos at up to 3C but I don't use the lithium ion very much.

Charging 2 cells at once can be dangerous if they are unbalanced, and if your batts are 300mah you should really look into getting some better ones.

But if nothing gets too hot or catches fire, should be all good :D

I know about overcharging batteries. Just 2 weeks ago I exploded a chinese ultrafire unprotected 18650 by accident. Yes I have 2 efest batts coming Monday. I do know about balancing too. I do RC planes and stuff so ya gotta know so you don't explode the huge batts. 3200mah 11.1v. Nasty flames and all.

EDIT: Now I baby sit all charging batteries while doing homework.
