Hello guys !! I have a 100mw green laser and this thing eats up the batteries !!! In 3 days the batteries are gone ! And without abusing !!): so my question is .. Can i use two AA batteries instead of one cr2 battery!!??
Cr2 batteries are really !! Really !! Expensive !! For 10bucks i buy 4 cr2 and for 10 i buy like a pack of 25 at home depot !! So if i can use the AA Batteries .. It would be a huge save (; lol

CR2 batteries= 3.7V
AA batteries = 1.5V

So you can't unless you can fit 2 or 3 AAs in your lasers host.

Well actually the cr2 batteries that i have are 3.0v not 3.7v..
So lets say that im able to fit the two AA batteries ... Will it work?? Or i will screw up the laser ??

I doubt you can fit 2 AA batteries in a laser that accepts 1 CR2.
As others said, get the rechargeable batteries.

In the future consider getting a laser that uses CR123A or 18650 batteries. Both have much better capacity than CR2s.

But if you somehow end up fitting two AAs or two AAAs it would work also... Even though I really doubt it

Some rechargable ones have voltage dropping diodes so that their actual presented nominal voltage is closer to 3V. You will have to consult with the seller to see if they have a special charger for them, as sometimes this is actually due to a different electrochemical makeup inside the cell instead of just added circuitry.
