I thought you would have a bit more of batteries before posting this:thinking: but
anyways be careful with the GTL's as iv'e read. I bought them a while ago when first joining thinking "LG's"
although they look nice and shiny red, that's were it ends..

We don't collect batteries, we use them. How pretty the wrapper looks is useless information.
A better question would be what cells are the best for each category.

There's low draw high capacity as well as good value.
There's high drain high quality low resistance.
There's high capacity high quality but higher resistance.

People could share what cells they get the most cycles from for each type of use and the best lifespan from.

I myself buy good quality albeit expensive cells for high drain use that have a low internal resistance and I mark them in sets of 2 and 3 so as not to mix them up, you don't want to mix new and old cells, or high capacity with high drain.

Most hobbyist have many cells and replace them as they lose performance, I have used bassen, mxjo, imren, and they are pretty good, but I like the EFest 26650 purple cells pretty well for my 5w+ diodes. Panasonic 18650 for my 2-3w diodes and AW for 18350/16340 compact uses. Also the grey Panasonic high drain cells seem to hold up to tough jobs but lack the capacity/run time of the new EFest IMR's.

Mine aren't red, they are white ?

I have only eight 16340's, two 18350's, four 18650's, four 10440's, four 14500. No 26650, no need so far. I should get some more 18650's so I can run all my lasers at once. I'm a bit low on cash though and saving for a senior trip so any other purchases are on the back burner until landscaping season starts and I get another job....

Since this thread is open for comment, I made this thread because I thought I would be a little good harmless fun and a good way pass a little time, I also thought it would be interesting to see how much personal renewable battery tech everyone was using instead of throwing batteries in a land fill, This thread was never intended to be of great usefulness to society in some way so I didn't think that it was particularly useful, helpful, or even friendly to have a fellow member come in and trash the idea and thread and then not contribute anything to thread at all.

But that's just me and this is my comment, (Disclaimer - No panties were harmed in the making of this comment)

You did not read all of RC's Post.. only what you didn't
like. The rest of RC's post was informative..

There is nothing wrong with your Battery Thread...
But Pictures of your batteries would also be interesting.:)

I did read his whole post and I always do, The idea was to be light and fun but he has a good idea for a thread for stats and statistical analysis of rechargeable batteries.

"Pictures of your batteries would also be interesting.:)" Good idea, It will take a little more time as I have to round up all the devices that I have the batteries in and remove them so I can take a picture of all them....
