Best Way to Connect Battery?

I am using a project box as a host(basically) and I was wondering what would be the best way to connect this battery to the driver so that I could also take it out and recharge it. It is a 18650 3100mAh battery. I would like this to tale up the least amount of space possible.

^I bought a whole lot of those, they are NOT good for high current. The wire is TEENY 30 awg, and the lead resistance totals around 750mΩ which means the battery voltage drops 0.75V for every amp you pull from it - unacceptable.

I was able to improve it to ~260mΩ by cutting away most of the leads and the spring, but that still isn't good enough for your purpose.

You DO need something like in the link, just less sh:)tty. Maybe one of these?

Flimsy leads and unsoldered contact between the spring and wires is often a problem with those battery holders.

One way to deal with is is soldering some decent wires directly onto the base of the spring and the positive contact. You will have to do that very carefully though, as soldering temperatures will melt the plastic.

Not all battery holders are equally bad though. I suggest to try them as is, and measure the voltage between the battery terminal and the end of the holders wire under some (say 500 mA) load.
