Hey guys, i bought this 40mm cooling fan for my new labby build, and the input voltage is 12v. I am powering my laser driver with a 12v power supply, so the voltage is right. The supply is rated at 3 amps.

So my question is, would i be OK just plugging the fan into the source, or do i need some other circuit to step down the current to .10 amps?

Thanks

You can directly hook it up to the power supply provided that the current draw of the fan plus the laser does not exceed 3 amps.

Yeah, fans dont need extra current limiting circuits. as long as the voltage is right it will be fine.
