Where can I buy a 1.5 - 3v hobby motor for the cheapest price? I am looking to make a spirograph!

Try using a CD player and gutting it! I got 2 motors out of mine, the CD spinner and the laser moving one. You can probably get a CD player for $8 from amazon or ebay. Mine runs at 1.5v or 3v, same speed.

Inside every Polaroid One-Step camera you will find a nice little DC motor and a FS mirror that, with a little practice, can be cut into usable squares..As the film is almost impossible to find these go for a dollar or so at yard/garage sales and thrift shops. There has to be a couple dozen other sources for similar motors== If you want to just spend $$ I will sell you some...

Most local electronic stores have generic hobby motors for around 2-4$ each.

Most hobby stores that support RC have small motors too. They are used for electronic helicopters and such.

Find a dollar store and buy a hand fan for $1. Then take a screwdriver. Remove the casing. Then remove the motor. It should run off 3v of two 1.5v AA batteries.:p
