New pictures of the tk61vn look pretty darn good :D

Sorry we can't all have rice fingers.

(I'm vietnamese American :p)
Asian and Caucasian being the ultimate blend of races making a super hybrid human. Talented in everything we touch, but not 5ft tall.
Obviously the next step in evolution :)

I'm itching to do a side by side of the TN31vn, K40vn, and TK61vn. That picture has definitely wet my appetite, but to be honest, it's not that impressive, given the right conditions. My K40vn looked like that during the last camping trip I took in october, and I had several people ask me :wtf: is that.

Should have the X60vn tomorrow morning. Need to prep some batteries for it tonight :D

Goodness man. 7000lm madness. Definitely want to see that in action. The throw is decent, but it lights up EVERYTHING in front of it lol. The comparison pics vinh takes it just looks like daytime.
I think I'm sorted for large lights. (no I'm not)

When Vinh tested the X60 vs the RC40, the numbers were very very close.

I think, unfortunately, I'm basically hitting the ceiling (for the time being) on what lights are capable of. Still, I love the fact that just a few years ago, I was astounded by a 60(80?) lumen surefire 6p.

Edit, here's what I'm talking about;

Celing bounce reading:
TN31vn: 120
TK75vn: 284
RC40vn: 350
X60vn: 365

Go little Tk75vn! Haha. Nipping at the big dogs heels.

I'm excited to do a Tk75vn killerthrow vs btu shockervn shootout.
I have yet to get a true monster. 6000lm +

Well, I have four monster lights now, as of yesterday.

The RC40vn, the Eye40vn, the X60vn, and Firefox4. Easily over 20,000 lumens combined.

There is no question, that in terms of quality, and design the RC40 is superior to the X60. X60 has a bit of rattle from the tube, and is a lot lighter, especially without batteries. The RC40 is build like a tank. Pretty sure you could use it as a hammer, and it would be fine.

That said, the X60 does win out by lumens. Not by a huge margin, but by a definitely noticeable one. I've yet to take them both outside at the same time.

Vinh is doing the MiniMax next. That's going to be very interesting, and will make a lot of smaller lights obsolete to me.

At the other end of the spectrum, just ordered the RRT01vn, and V11rVn.

Not sure. I'm going to sell either the RRT01 or the v11r. They are too similar for me to keep both.

In terms of design, the v11r, I think wins out... considering you can click it off.

In terms of a super low, low, the RRT01 is infamous for it. Will be interesting to compare it to my zebralights.

I'm liking the v11r. Stainless bezel, better UI. I thought he sold out.

Curious how he boosted current, if it results in percentage increase on all outputs, or if he replaced teh driver completely.

I wanted one of the lux-rc lights for a while, forgot about them 'till I seen an advert on cpf. Then I realized it's too shiny, and I'd feel bad if I didn't purchase the cotton gloves with them ;-)

He uses the stock driver, so I'm not really sure how he does it.

He did sell out on them, I'm buying secondhand.

The Lux-rc are another level I'm not quite ready for. I'd feel really bad about using those lights... they are shelf lights.

I wish Vinh hadn't run out of PDT leds. I think he underestimated the demand for them.

Can't wait to get mine.

I gotta say, I do like those sk68 clones. Great to have a boost driver in a light that is under $5. Make great gifts and intro to modern flashlights. They're also very easy to do LED swaps, and I thought I remembered seeing some folks selling kits or heatsinks for those. I was planning on turning mine into a large beam diameter laser, but I may just drop in a nichia NVSL219AT. oh, the beauty! You can have your PDT :p
