I put together this little PT-54 Red LED flashlight tonight. It is running between 6-7A direct drive. This light is brighter than my single P7 at 1A. It should be putting out 600+ lumens but I cannot test this. I'm just going off the spec sheet which is now MIA. It runs on a single LifePO4 18650. This thing is just insanely bright. On with the photos.

How'd you get such a good beam profile? I'm using my original reflector, but I also put a lens in it to give a reasonable throw distance, but I get an odd beam profile ..

I have a VERY deep and wide reflector. It really shapes the spot into a perfect circle. The bezel in front makes a weird shape up to 3 ft away but past that it is a perfect circle. Came out nice.

Short duty cycles. Just like a laser. The host is pretty hefty and the entire head acts as the heatsink. The pill screws tightly into the head of the host.

LifePO4 18650 rechargeable. This is to keep the voltage down (they are less than 18650 Lithium Ions) and to keep the discharge capacity high.

I'm sure they would. Id need to switch to a $30 host instead of a $70 one. Even then with the host, Led, and battery I'd probably have to charge $100 to cover shipping, paypal fees, and still make it worth while. It took a bit of time getting it together. I'm building a green one and a blue one as well. The green should be out of this world in brightness.
