I just ordered a few of these reflector/heat sink assemblies as they seem like they might lend themselves very well for high power LED applications, and at a most reasonable price (with a bulb that will also make a heat lamp if needed).

A good heatsink and reflector combo, nice find

The focal point of these is likely inside the reflector, but the bulb has a filament oriented to give a nice beam. Not sure what the heatsink is all about, but I'm pretty sure Ushio knows what they're doing ;-)

Reflector is likely dicroic, but that shouldn't have any effect on LEDs, I think it passes deep IR
