Would you trust the price of these blue lasers?

Thanks to the LPF forums I have recently come across this website www.LAZERPOINT.com and found THESE BLUE LASERS. I find them too cheap to be 2W 445nm blue lasers but as I am a noob to this laser thing I think it would be better for me to ask you guys. Also what do you think of the company? Ever heard of them or will they just scam me?

Cheers!

How many of these threads about Lazerpoint do there need to be? Next time just search for whatever company you're interested in in the Google box at the bottom of the forum. If the company is not mentioned, only then ask about them. Even then, if the deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

I don't mind being the deal being not as good as it sounds. Like I wouldn't care if the advertised 2000mw laser turned out to be a 1000mw laser but just as long it's still cheap/good price for a 1000mw laser!

No, you can't extrapolate anything here. A website could claim they're selling a 2 megawatt laser; you shouldn't just assume that you'll receive a 500 kilowatt laser instead.

Chances are, you'll get the same 50mW laser as before, no matter what their claim.

Agreed^ it may look a bit brighter so they just say it's 2000mW. It's probably all the same lasers regardless, one just may have more IR than the other

I'm new to the hobby and site as well, but I do know that the people commenting on your post are veteran members and seasoned laser enthusiasts so even if I just hear one of them to tell me to look elsewhere that's what I'm going to do. I actually just placed an order for one of Jokers 2.1W SFB's so I'm pretty stoked myself!!!

How long is a piece of string ..i have two such lasers with labels saying 2000mW ...and they both LPM
Over 1.1 watts hard to jump to conclusions they will be very underspeced ...That company may have a poor record, but don't dismiss all labels as being total fairy tales some are as said about half ....as i always say luck of draw and you didn't mention the price of the lasers which tends to be an important factor ....i couldn't open the links for the lasers regards the price hence my comment on the price, could you post the price so its easier to have better information to make a better judgement.

You'll love it. I got a 1.7W SFB from him a few weeks ago and it's nothing short of awesome :eg: Can't recommend him enough!

I've just ordered a laser from Blord and planning to get more stuff from other forum's veterans. I agree that there are many respectful laser connoisseur in this forum and it is the best and friendliest source of information online.

You are making two of the most common errors at LPF- 1) asking without searching- and 2) you have failed to completely fill in your personal profile- you could have another member living across the street and never meet- WE all are happy to meter lasers for others(free)- in person or mailed to us. you only pay shipping- ONLY do this with a vets member-

first place to buy anything is from a LPF trusted vet- and there are many --

I have a +4 to give you once you fill i your profile--I also hope your first thread was an 'Intro' in the 'welcome' section- we consider this to be just plain good manners..
