Yes, its the same with my charger. After inspection I found, at least at my charger, that the fault it the soft minus sided contact. The internal spring is so strong, that the thin metal minus side bends back while inserting the 18650. Only solution is to bend it back to the plus direction by hand, and then use some piece of plastic instead of the battery to push it back. Sounds complicated, but its easy...

Maybe some little drop of oil into the spring sled could help to make it more smoth, but I am not sure if doing so possibly could increase the risc of fire hazard.

Other observation is that the charger indicates green, then after some minutes or an hour starts indicating red and then charges. Possibly in this case the charger starts charging at low current (green), later increases to high current (red). So if its green, just wait a bit.

Just my own personal observations and conclusions, nothing scientific with it. This chargers can be tricky.

I just don't use the chargers they send, have four lying around collecting dust.

Actually with next order I'm gonna ask Susie if she can include an extra battery instead of a charger, cost should be about the same.

Yes, these chargers are very bad, I've never used.

I also I have a collection collecting dust :crackup:

Personally I use the IMAX B6-AC, I think is a very good charger with Delta-peak sensitivity, and Individual cell balancing.

Is capable charging or discharging almost all types of batteries, Li-ion, LiPo, LiFe, Ni-Cd and NiMH.

The bad side, maybe it's a bit complex to manage the first few times.

Perhaps someone else in the forum can tell you another more charger.

I picked up a UltraFire WF-188 a short while ago and it does what it supposed to. I have seen better build quality in chargers but it's under 25 bucks so i guess you get what you pay for. They have others on their site for your reference as well. My order was shipped same day so there's that too.

Uhm, regarding the WF-188... I have one, and need to send it back to light hound. Doesn't stop charging. I plugged a couple of CR123s into it, and 6 hours later they were still charging, which by itself is fine.... however they were extremely hot to touch.

It is a cheaper charger, you get what you pay for... so YMMV with it.

I'm actually using cheap chargers, but they seem to do the job just fine, don't even remember where i got one of them from:undecided:

My charger which was included with the Susie´s pointer became strange suddenly. The LED is red now without battery, but if I insert the battery it becomes green.... I guess it´s broken, because the cell stays suspiciously cold.

I have also two WF-139 chargers from DX, the first one charges fine, the second one needs almost one day.

I just realize that I write completely off topic, because it´s about the 1,2W 445, not about chargers....

Sorry about keeping the thread off topic but I have a WF-139 and it charges fine. The light turns green at 4.17v but it keeps charging (I was surprised when I left a battery on too long and found it at 4.24v). It charges well with 1 18650 but it seems to slow up a lot when 2 are charging. Also, with 2 charging, it makes a small buzzing/humming sound. Idk why, but it is currently my best charger. I like how I can plug it into my car cigarette lighter (with an adapter obviously) and charge batteries while I'm driving on vacation or what not.
DAST, do yours seem to take longer when you have more than 1 battery charging at a time?

About the first wf-139 I remember it is no difference in charging time. One cell or two cells, same time. But I did not use it for 2 years and also never put attention on this behavior as I used it mostly for single cells.

About the second Wf-139, I think its somehow different. I did not measure the charging times, but I observed the following:

If I charge one single cell for lets say 8 hours, and the LED for this cell still shows red, if I then put another empty cell in the other slot, then it happens that the red LED of the first cell flips to green. If I then remove the just inserted second lithium cell, the first cells/slots light goes red again.

Whatever this means...

Maybe I will buy a better charger in future, and I am willing to pay >100$ if the price is justified by built quality, reliability and function, but I did not find any charger which is really recommended.

^^^I've noticed the same exact effect with two of my chargers.

Kind of in the same situation, I'm willing to spend for a decent charger, but can't seem to find one that has good across the board reviews.
