About a year ago i started this project with my nintendo zapper gun. I bought a diode with some driver that i could not get to work properly. Now finally i decided to finish this project and ordered an aixiz module with a cashio diode and flexdrive, now things are working fine.

I also integrated a 3.7V 3000mah li-ion battery in the zapper body, it should last for more than a hour continuously. I am really glad i managed to keep the look unmodified, only one screw's base (the one under the side panels, so its hidden) has been cut away.

It is older than me :>

I am extremely pleased with the result, even the sights on the zapper aim precisely where the beam goes :D

Nice work. +1

I had one of these sitting around that I was tempted to modify with a laser. Then I realized if I tried to play Duck Hunt I'd ruin my TV :D

:gj:

A few others have done this and I have to reflect to my childhood and chuckle every time I see a beam coming out of one. :D

Thanks you all :)

Ok i will snap some pictures when i open it up the next time (probably when the battery needs to be replaced). I am scared every time i open and close it since the old plastic might break under the screws. Currently it is in mint condition, i want it to stay that way :p

Not trying to be a stickler but we aren't supposed to use the brand name of these diodes. Just write it as Kaseo or ca$io etc. It's a legal thing. Not sure why it matters but better safe than sorry.
EDIT- When you get a chance just edit your post. Thanks

PS I love the zapper gun.
