Where are you located?

Can you give specifics of the problems with the laser?

I am in brampton ontario, the laser doesnt turn on, when I pur fully charged batteries, then I opened it and saw that the diode part looks broken, in the link, the upper laser is working one, and the lower one, like in the circle between the golden part, seems like nothing is there. I talked to the person I ordered it from. and the answer I got was that it was damaged in shipping and diode is very fragile.

Returning it, or filing a shipping claim is not an option?

Replacing the diode is possible, but you may need to read more on this forum, buy some tools, and work out the details.

Or, you could take pictures of the whole unit, give us links to where you bought it, and see if you can pay one of our many skilled members to repair it for you.

The second working one was infact a replacement I received, and the seller does not want this back either, but since I have it spending some money on it, if its less than the actual laser then the parts would be of use. I will post the links to more detailed pictures, and hopefully one of the skilled members can give me an estimate

Yeah... a link to the actual Laser you bought would
greatly help...
Can't really see what make or type of Laser it is from
the End On view of it...

It's like I take a picture of the broken Valve in a
car's head and ask how much it will cost to fix...
Could be the valve of a Neon or Lamborghini...:)

Ok, thanks for the pics. I don't recognize the pointer, and it's kind of a lot of work to keep asking you questions. If you can, provide a link to the order page from which you ordered it. (second request)

If I understand correctly, this one broke, and you got a replacement from the seller, and you want to try and repair this one... is that correct?

If it were me, that;s what I would do. :)

yes it is, unfortunately i have no link, the purchase was made from china, over skype, and I got a good price, for $110 shipped, and it is really powerful, as in it can light fireworks from a distance of about <1.5m at fixed focus because its not adjustable.
for maybe dimension purposes this might help, High Power Green Laser Flashlight,200mw Green Laser Pointer,Burning Laser,High Power Green Laser Manufacturer,Supplier,Factory - Xinland International Limited
this is the seller I bought from, but this shows green, cost was well over $1000, but the blue version in this model

very good. You're doing better. Maybe someone having experience with this seller or pointer can offer more advice. I'll do some research and if I find anything, I'll report it in this thread.

With this info. You basically just start from scratch(almost) with the laser.
You'll need a digital multimeter, soldering iron and a m140 diode(verify what size diode fits) and a diode press for starters.
You should be able to figure out the rest through the forum ;)
Start reading and researching and have fun!

I don't know too much about lasers, do you know how much this would cost, or anywhere I can get this done?
