Hmm, but a fair number do hit 3W+?

Keep Dreaming.:p:bowdown::crackup:

Most do ~2.3W...

You will see a couple here and there at ~2.7W at higher currant.
But the most you will ever see at 1.8A is ~2.6W MAX. So far that is what iam seeing so that is what iam going to say until we see higher numbers.

THe one in my pictures doing 3.4W is the most efficient i seen so far at a few mW more then 2.9W at higher currant but not the MAX.

LOL.

Though i must say there is More 2.5W-2.6W diodes in these 9mm.:)

But remember we are talking 1.8A here.

This can all change if the currant becomes "SAFE" Higher.

Well, you and DTR pushed the current on a few of them I'm sure... any observations?

I personally feel pretty comfortable driving mine @ 2A but I am not willing to recommend it yet specially being the seller that is why I am sticking to 1.8A to be on the safe side. So if you are one that likes to push the envelope into new territories with us that is up to you.

Well that's something at least.

Can't believe how snobbish I'm being though. A year ago 2W was RARE, now they are practically commonplace.

@Lazeerer PM incoming on unrelated subject:p

You want to hear something funny though.

I found a A-130 collecting dust that feel behind a shelf. It was in an Anti static bag labeled A-130 so i know it was one for sure

I seriously started Cracking up..LOL:crackup:

I pressed it in a Module and tested it and the diode was doing 1.6W With a G lens at 1.7A

This was about 1 month ago. I was going to record it but never did.

We have come a long way with these blues thats for sure.:)

When I first joined, my intent was to buy a 1.5W laser. I wasn't even thinking about going for 2W... or now days maybe three watts soon :D

It is crazy. I love it:D My wallet not so much

My first blue was a 1.3W from survival and I was terrified of it. I just built a std H-140 recently at 1.6A and it is doing 2.15W and now I am wanting 3W. :D

Sorry to derail this line of discussion but I have another question. I got the lens holder from the guy that DTR reccomended. I have successfully removed the lens from its holder and all the glue on it. Now, I took the lens holder apart and at that point the lens should drop in and the then I will screw the retainer back in on top of it? Is there supposed to be some sort of spacer between the lens and the screw in ring?

Hmmm. That pic is lacking some detail that would clear it up for part timers like myself. These are my first lens to assemble myself so I just want to make sure it's right.
