Yes, the toolpost wouldn't make it, and I needed some extra room to work with. Was pretty stable anyways

^ I thought as much. I've had similar issues but never thought to do that. I just ran without a centre and a very well tightened chuck! Thanks for clarifying.

I might.. im experimenting with some glow powders (strontium aluminate) and clear epoxy... its a fairly cheap alternative to tritium... assuming I get anywhere with what im trying to do with it.

(Credit to Lazerman121 for introducing me to these glow powders)
