I built this little guy last week before flying out to New York. Now that i'm back, I had some time to take pics and make a video. Basically I had this host lying around for a while, and after getting back into lasers, I decided to build a 445 out of it. The heatsink is a direct press-fit copper heatsink for maximum heat transfer. The driver is glued to the pill using thermal paste, making the pill and whole host a heatsink. The lens is a 405-G-1. This laser outputs anywhere from 1W and above. The reason I don't know is because my LPM maxes out at 1W, so I really have no way of knowing. Anyways, this is now my favorite laser, as it is compact and a great burner.

Great job and nice video! Looks like an Ultrafire WF-602c host. I have a couple of those and they are my favorite host for their compact size and durability. I like that you went direct press copper. What is the duty cycle? I haven't seen that type of focus head before.

Enjoy!!!

I try to keep the laser on for 1 min and let it cool down for 30 sec, but I am just keeping om yhe safe side. I've kept it on before for 3 mins and it just got a little bit warm. The focus head is actually jayrob's EzFocus adaptor, I like the look of it on this host.

hello Spyderz20x6
i have exactly the same host than you, and i want to know which battery do you have??

my battery its " lc 16340 880mAh 3,6v" i think its not very powerful for 1w 445nm
and i would like to put " lc 18650 3000mAh 3,7v" but the battery is too big for my host
do you have something between??

thanks you very much

Very nice little build :)
I like the look of the host very much. It's very nice to have such a compact lite laser that packes in such great power.
Although, I would rather put a 1W+ power on a slightly bigger host, for longer cycling time :)
You actually made it stay on for 3 minutes?
SWEET.
