I actually quit vaping to save money and i miss it soo much!! i remember how my lasers looked so beautiful in the vape clouds, so i bought a fog machine to make up for it. nice video by the way.

Yeah, these over driven 445nm blues can cause smoke and flames very quickly. Enjoy burning stuff while it lasts. I got bored with doing it years ago.

Yes! He did an awesome job putting it together and I think I got quite lucky with the diode. The host itself is made of a brass and aluminum, quite heavy but I can't decide the duty cycle. Even when running it for 45 sec I didn't feel the brass head get hot, just warmish. I don't know if it is the heat conductivity or the fact that the entire thing is made of metal so the heat dissipates.

You have to understand that the temperature of the outside of the host is not the same as the diode's temperature. Brass has less thermal conductivity than aluminum and you have a temperature gradient between the diode and the surface of the host.
