I've never seen that type of lens before :S
Is it a glass 3-element lens? What kind is it?

I don't know.
I just bought a normal glass lens on eBay but I have received was this.

so I complain the seller. then he said he gave a fully threaded one.
but this lens come again.

EDIT : If you want to see[LINK]

You can't really use a focus ring with those lenses due to the lack of thread on the front half, but those are the best lenses for those 445nm in terms of the beam quality they provide. Not having a focus ring is a small and pretty insignificant issue.. you can still turn the lens to focus without the focus ring.

through my research so far....

glass 3-element lens does a bit better job on getting near circular shape dot from 445 diode, but this shape is normal, you just have to focus it.

The three element actualy clips the beam so you get 15% less power but a much better dot profile while single elements are expensive the offer the most power for burning and such it just kinda depends on your priorities

Just twist your lens until the beam cleans up. Thread the lens all the way in. Then keep unscrewing the lens little by little (turning the laser on in between to see where you are at with the adjustment) until you get a nice beam and leave it that way. You can then just use a magnifying lens or jewelers loop to focus it down for burning :)

There is absolutely nothing wrong with your diode. The lens appears to be an o-like half threaded. Simply put a single layer of electrical tape on the unthreaded part of the lens, and put your aixiz focus knob (if you have one) on the tape, and thread the lens in.....

Wallah- focused coherent light able to burn

exactly, OP if you are after burning more power then go with the G2 lens, but if you want near circular dot then 3 elements, which will still burn but you will lose 15% power as mentioned.

or you could go with a crap ton of optics for correction but I don't recommend that
