Yeah 445nm can go up to 3.2W Labby and members can make you a 2W 445nm hand held If you pay them to make it for you.
Thanks for your response. Just to clarify, are you talking about pushing the 1W 445nm laser diode to 2W and even 3.2W? or are you talking about a different diode?

Honestly I'm still to green to lasers to answer that. I think tho that yes you need a better diode to push the higher end. I think it's called a 12x for the 445nm that push the high end W's. But don't quot me on it.

That 3.2W labby uses several diodes combined with optics to achieve that power.
The 12x is a 405nm blu-ray diode, it's an entirely different color. You'll be lucky to hit 2W or more with a single diode and a good lens.

I thought that only the A140's were stable at 2W and the A130's were not stable above ~1.5W.

The 445nm diodes we talk about on this fourms really only had 2 models. Diodes taken from A-130 projectors, or taken from a A-140. The A-140 seam to have the same specifications, but preform more efficiently. They are NOT called 1W diodes, thats just a popularized output to run them at. In reality you can run them at +-100mW and all the way up to just over 2W as long as you have good heat sinking on the diode and driver...along with a respectable duty cycle.
